---------- Forwarded message ---------- Dear Elisa The girl in yellow hair is Bella and she informed you that there are some promotionals colours available... There is a range and some are lighter colours but you wanted lighter which means extra time , effort for bleaching and that requires topping up. She informed you that if you are not happy with the promotion, you can ask for a refund from groupon and the company will explain it to them why your hair cannot be done. The guy was the operations mgr jacky, and even though he did not say 'top up' ,he did nonetheless said that you had to 'pay extra' on top of your voucher which you said ok! There were no mistakes and you knew exactly what you were doing and saying, plus there were witnesses and that you were very inconsiderate and to a certain extend rude! In conclusion, there is no element of refund here as service has been rendered price agreed and paid for.there is no mis understanding other than the boldness of you to try and wrangle yourself out of a no relevance issue to benefit yourself! As far as this issue is concern... It is settled. And any attempts by you to create problems by dropping by the salon to disturb the peace would constitute harassment and you will be reported to the relevant authorities and taken to court for libel! There, You have been cautioned and warned. Sincerely Grace Administrator Date: Wed, 27 Jun 2012 19:30:09 +0800 Subject: Re: Refund request Dear Grace, Thank you for your very prompt response. It's reassuring to see there are people like you attentively responding to the needs and inquiries of ordinary consumers like myself who have been mislead by your firm's seemingly innocuous Groupon Vouchers. I now realize that I should have been fully aware of your firm's Terms and Conditions written in invisible ink on the GroupOn Voucher. In addition, my apologies for having written so poorly that you misconstrued my letter into thinking I had contemplated "disturb[ing] the peace" of your salon. Interestingly, you might want to note that "disturbing the peace" is not an actionable conduct in Singapore. Indeed the term is not even listed anywhere in the Singapore Attorney-Generals Chambers' archieves of statutes. The corresponding Singapore terminilogy for "disturbing the peace" is actually called "commit an affray", see Penal Code, Chapter 224, 267A. Just an FYI, so you can use the correct term when responding to other consumers. You may also want to watch less American cop dramas, lest you ingest the wrong terms again. I am also curious as to what I did that made you threaten to sue me for libel. Libel requires PUBLICATION of a malicious, false statement in written media or broadcast. I have no such intention. I am merely an overcharged consumer who has written in to offer my GroupOn voucher after it was thrown back at me by your staff. To save you time and have you avoid having to deal with numerous ignorant consumers (such as myself) who failed to read the Terms and Conditions written in invisible ink on your GroupOn Vouchers, I have helpfully forwarded your email to GroupOn, Coupark.com, Bigdeal.sg, GreatDeals.com.sg, dealzilla.sg, and IloveDeals.sg. I certainly have been "cautioned and warned", and would not want anyone else to be "taken to court for libel!" Have a pleasant evening. Sincerely, Ignorant Consumer |
