【股票】 Sinotel 上涨可期

SINOTEL Technologies' first American Depository Receipts (ADRs) were issued yesterday (30 Oct 09) to a US private investor, marking the first quotation of its ADRs in the United States. The Chinese telecom solutions provider said that Bank of New York Mellon (BNY Mellon), its depository bank, issued the ADRs yesterday upon the request of a US private investor.

AmFraser issued a note this month, saying that it expects demand for the ADRs to be good when trading starts as Sinotel is trading at a lower valuation than its peers listed in US.

SIAS Research also initiated a 'buy' call on Sinotel this month on the belief that the stock is undervalued. It noted that the value of Sinotel would be $1.48 if it is valued at its peer's average price to earnings ratio of 17.3 times. Sinotel closed at 57.5 cents yesterday, a 4.17 per cent decline from the previous day.

This market maker will buy a portion of Sinotel shares on SGX, and deposit them with BNY Mellon to convert into ADRs and distribute them to US investors. It will profit from the spread.
