Art Therapy
Bachelor’s degree in visual arts or psychology, or an equivalent level of training in a relevant medical, social or human sciences field
Relevant work experience in a rehabilitative setting in the form of paid or unpaid/voluntary work (e.g. telephone counselling, social work or working with children, youth or the elderly)
Demonstrable ability to discuss and reflect on one’s creative process
Demonstrable maturity and a willingness to undergo weekly personal therapy for the duration of the programme
An excellent level of spoken and written English (IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL 600)
Three references: one personal, one professional, and one academic
An interview with the programme leader which includes participating in a brief art therapy experiential workshop, all applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Application Assignments
Statement of Purpose: A 500-word statement of your reasons for pursuing Master’s studies, your suitability and expected benefits from the programme.
Essay: A short essay describing your current understanding of the therapeutic application of art and describing your personal creative process with reference to one piece of personal artwork.

Arts & Cultural Management
A degree in Arts Management, Arts or equivalent from a recognised institution
Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in a related field or at least 4 years of working experience in a non-related field
Well-established professionals from other fields who wish to transfer to the cultural sector must demonstrate a commitment to the arts or heritage
An excellent level of spoken and written English (IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL 600)
Curriculum Vitae (indicating training / experience in the arts and / or volunteer experience)
Two letters of recommendation: one professional, one academic
Application Assignments

Research Proposal

Applications to the MA Arts & Cultural Management programme MUST include a Research Proposal of 800-1000 words on a specific area in the field of Arts and Cultural Management that the applicant would like to pursue during the course of study that will culminate in a thesis. The research proposal should be word processed, using Arial 11-pt font on double spacing. It should contain the comprising:
- A self-explanatory title
- A background of the proposed research topic
- The rationale and objective of the research area
- The significance of the proposed research area
- A brief explanation of how the research will be conducted

Personal Statement

A 500 words personal statement indicating why the applicant wish to pursue a career in Arts Management, what led him/ her to this point and what makes him/ her a good candidate for admission into the programme.

Asian Art Histories
A good Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised tertiary institution with a serious interest in art history
A satisfactory score in written and spoken English or a minimum of IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL 600
A 1000 word statement of interest highlighting the candidate’s reasons for choosing to enroll in the programme, research areas in Asian art histories which interest the candidate, and the ways in which the candidate intends to contribute to the field of art history after graduating
Two references (an educational reference from the student’s university and a character reference from an employer)
Samples of academic writing or published work (where available)

Fine Arts
Bachelor’s degree and demonstrable ability to pursue discourse and research in contemporary issues in fine arts.
A good level of spoken and written English.
Portfolio: At least 10 pieces of original 2-D or 3-D work (actual or documented) that demonstrate your creative practice. Time-based or performance-based works should be presented in video or digital format.
Research Proposal: Two-page research proposal indicating your research aims and objectives, proposed outcomes, and brief details of research methods and materials you wish to use.
Statement of Purpose: 500-word statement of your reasons for pursuing Master’s studies, your suitability and expected benefits from the programme.
