关于7天注销学生准证和申请LTVP的疑惑

各位大侠，有个事想咨询你一下，我现在在国内，但是突然收到学校邮件说我得到学位，要在7天内注销学生签证，学校说如果不申请LTVP的可以7月毕业典礼前注销，我不明白这是不是意味着如果现在不去注销，回去就不能申请LTVP了，我现在没法打新加坡ICA的电话，所以只好问问大家之前有没有遇到这样的问题，要怎么解决。谢谢啦！

学校邮件是这么说的：If you are graduating international students and still holding the Student’s Pass, please note that you need to cancel your Student’s Pass within 7 days from the date of this email.  Upon the cancellation of your Student’s Pass, you may request the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority to issue you with a Short Term Visit Pass (if necessary) to stay in Singapore for up to 89 days."If you don’t intend to apply for LTVP, you may choose to cancel off your Student’s Pass anytime from now, but latest by 28 July after your commencement ceremony. “
Important: Please ensure thatyou have a valid pass while waiting for the LTVP to be approved. If yourStudent's Pass is expiring or if you graduate prior to obtaining the LTVP, you MUSTapply for a Short Term Visit Pass in the interim我的签证8月才到期，这句话的意思我不太理解，我的签证未到期，但是已经GRADUATE了，一定申请短期签证吗？

就算我要申请短期签证也要先注销学生签证，但是我没有办法亲自去注销，而且注销了也不知道再回新加坡会不会有问题，现在我的情形是，我7天内没法注销，但是六月底要回去申请LTVP，这样可以吗？会不会遇到问题？各位大侠帮帮忙，很紧急
