这是个典型的让步状语从句，特点是从句由even if / even though引导，主句和从句似乎都用虚拟语气。但是，在此类句型中，一般来说，当所指时间为 过去，从句用had been型，主句用should /would/ would had been型。这道题的四个选项中，（2）和（3）不能跟在would后面；（4）的时态与从句不符；所以，答案只能是（1）。

我的思路和你一样，但当所指时间为 过去，从句用had been型，主句应该用should /would/ would have been型，所以答案应该为4。但老师给的答案为1，所以探讨一下。

问题出在“have”上。从句是过去完成时，主句也必须是同样的时态， 即”had loved+...或would love。“have loved+...”是现在完成时，用在此句中是错误的。

In an unreal conditional sentences about the past, you use the helping verbs would, could or might + have + past participle in the main clause, and you use the past perfect tense in the subordinate if clause.

单单从这个句子的意思看
love 应该与 repeatly told 时态上保持一直，有着过去将来的味道？;P

是的，虚拟语气的语法规则是这样的。可是，这个句形并不是典型的虚拟语气句子，因此虚拟语气的语法不适用于此。even though放在这里只是为了表达一种“反差”，类似于“in spite of that”。在Gmat的语法书里有这样一段：

Even though -- when the condition given is negative but the outcome/result is positive
e.g. -- Even though Ram hadn't studied, he passed the exam.

Although -- when the condition given is positive but the outcome/result is negative
e.g. -- Although Ram had studied very hard, he did not score well.

另外，楼上的解释也是正确的。“told”这个词决定了后面的动词只能是过去时或过去完成时，而不能现在完成时。
