<P>在看文章中多次遇到commit和commitment这两个词。可是查字典后，觉得那些中文意思都不符合具体句子。例如：</P>
<P>commit 文曲星（cc800)里的解释是：[及] 犯（罪），委托，委任；收监；收押；使承担义务；使表态；把（军队）投入战斗。</P>
<P>可是这些意思在下面这句话中都不对呀</P>
<P>Each part-time works at least four hours per week,depending on how much time applicants can commit to and what the various business need.</P>
<P>我在学习英语的过程中遇到过很多类似的单词。请多多指教。</P>
