解释关于最近STARHUB网速慢的问题

<P>昨天给starhub发了mail询问网速的问题。今天收到了回信，大概就是starhub的国际出口出现了问题。</P>
<P>下面是原文。</P>
<P><FONT size=2>A third party submarine cable between Singapore and Philippines was</FONT>
<FONT size=2>accidentally cut, resulting in slow response in accessing</FONT>
<FONT size=2>international websites, AOL, Yahoo and MSN Messenger.  However, the</FONT>
<FONT size=2>access to local websites is not impacted.  We are aware that some of</FONT>
<FONT size=2>our customers are facing slow response in accessing some</FONT>
<FONT size=2>international sites on the Internet.   We apologise for the</FONT>
<FONT size=2>inconvenience caused.</FONT> </P>
<P><FONT size=2>This is a rare occurrence and our engineers are currently re-routing</FONT>
<FONT size=2>the Internet traffic to other cables.  They are currently working</FONT>
<FONT size=2>with the operators of the cable system and doing their best to</FONT>
<FONT size=2>rectify the matter.  Please be assured that we are doing our best to</FONT>
<FONT size=2>ensure that your Internet services are back to normal as soon as</FONT>
<FONT size=2>possible.  </FONT></P>
